About Our Process
»Initial Consultation
First, we begin the journey of working together with a consultation. This usually happens in our studio, although we can adapt our process to your schedule. During this step we try to gather as much information about your project and needs. We will sit down with you to sketch out some basic design ideas, and get your thoughts on details such as leading, installation options and so forth. It helps to know the rough dimensions of your project and to have a basic idea of what you would like to accomplish. If you enter our studio with rough measurements and ideas we are able to provide an initial assessment and begin the design process right away. Before we begin designing your project, we will collect a design fee.
If you are unsure of what it is you'd like to do, not to worry, we can help. Our design consultants have numerous tools and templates and are ready to assist you in developing your ideas.»On-site Review
In most cases, we will go on-site to confirm the dimensions of your project. If we are contracting for the installation of your project, we will use this opportunity to determine the best approach. Once we have seen the job site, we will re-confirm our basic design ideas with you, and finalize our estimate. Remember, based on the information you provide in the initial consultation, our designers will be thinking about your project before they step foot on-site, so most on-site consultations typically only take 30 minutes to complete.
We realize that your time is valuable, so when we leave your job site, we want to be armed with all of the information needed to begin the design process.»Pattern & Color Check
You will be asked to come to our studio to review your pattern (to scale), finalize your color and tape choices, and present us with a 50% deposit of the project total. We then order the glass and materials and begin production on your decorative glass work of art. As each project is different, production times vary, but we will be glad to provide a prediction of the time it will take to finish your project.»Production
As each project is different, production times vary, but we will be glad to provide a prediction of the time it will take to finish your project.
Now comes the fun part for us! Everything is hand-assembled, making each piece unique. There are no machines involved and nothing is built overseas. We put pride into every single piece of glass that leaves our studio. We believe that our products are true pieces of art that will be enjoyed for many years to come. To make sure that you are getting the very best product possible, every finished product passes through a quality assurance inspection before leaving our studio. Sometimes there will be minor imperfections due to the hand assembly process, but your satisfaction is our number one priority.»Installation
After production, your decorative glass is ready to install. In most cases, we will bring your finished work of art on-site for installation. From time-to-time, the installation process will be different depending on whether or not a special installation is necessary. These are situations where we will work with your builder or a sub-contractor to complete the process.
